Dave Grohl is reportedly working on a documentary about Sound City Studios. Haven't heard of it? I can guarantee you heard the sounds that have come out of there. Just a few of the artists to lay tracks down there include Metallica, Johnny Cash, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Rage Against The Machine, Nine Inch Nails, REO Speedwagon, Willie Nelson, Eric Clapton and many more. The iconic drum kick from Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was recorded there, among many others. Here some guy I don't know gives you a tour of where all the magic has happened over the years.
