Tattoo Tuesday is back with possibly the MOST important list of your inked life. These are the do's and, most importantly, the don'ts of getting a tattoo.

Just like at your job where all the employees sit around and bitch about those horrible customers you have to put up with everyday that just don't seem to understand anything, tattoo artists have the same gripes.

But guess what? Those horrible customers are probably you. Well, UNLESS you follow some simple rules for getting ink.

THE DO'S:

Do bring good ideas or samples of tattoos that you would like and have an idea where you want to get tattooed.

Do bring a valid state ID. You must be 18 years of age to get a tattoo in Texas.

Do eat and drink plenty of liquids before getting a tattoo so you don't pass out. Try to be well rested.

Do be flexible. Tattoo artists want to do their best work and make sure you walk away satisfied with your ink. If they suggest something, heed their advice. They know what works and what will look best.

Do breathe. It sounds like common sense, but if you don't breathe properly, you could possibly pass out.

Do speak up if you need a break for whatever reason.

THE DON'TS:

Don't move while getting a tattoo - at least not away from the needle.

Don't bring an entourage. Just bring one person maximum.

Don't negotiate on the price. It's not a flea market or garage sale.

Don't bring your kids. It's a tattoo parlor, not a daycare.

Don't come in drunk. You cannot get a tattoo if you're under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

And probably most importantly: DON'T BE AN A-HOLE!

Follow these simple rules and you should do just fine.
