Tech Students To Host Roundtable On Foster Care System

Research shows that Foster Kids in Texas have a rough road.

Foster Care advocates will discuss some pretty important issues with State Senator Charles Perry and Representative Dustin Burrows.  The group says that Foster kids are less likely to perform well in a number of areas including education and employment. It's also concerning that most Foster kids are placed in rural areas far away from their home cities.

The event is May 8th from six to eight in the evening at  TTUHSC in room #110. Attendance is limited to 90 people, but a live stream will be provided on Facebook. You can get more details on the event invite.
