I don't know how any Hispanic person can support Donald Trump. I know, it's almost racist to say that in itself, but Donald Trump at the very, very least does not respect what you've done and do for America.

Hilariously enough, Texas Congressman Filemon Vela, has penned an open letter to Trump telling him to "take your border wall and shove it up your ass".

The tipping point for Mr. Vela seems to have been Trump's assertion that there's no way a Mexican-American judge will give him a fair trial (because he wants to build a wall along the U.S./Mexican border).

Mr. Vela makes quite a number of fair points but one thing really struck me. In the letter he uses the term "American's of Mexican Decent". I know that's wordy, but like Mr. Vela, they are now Americans first (and Mr. Vela's lineage in America goes back further than Trumps).  My uncle Richard (Saldana) was the same way, he was of Mexican Heritage but so far removed from it that we never gave it any thought.

This kind of leads me back to my statement that I can't believe any Hispanic Person (or any person of color) would support Trump. He clearly thinks you are different. He does not think of you as "one of us", He sets up a dividing line that we just don't need. If you have to divide people, it should be by their character and not by their color or country or origin.

I suggest everyone take the time to read the rest of Mr. Vela's letter. He quite openly calls for more solutions for border violence, but points out how insane it is to build a wall between us and our friends (and third largest trading partner).
