Texas NBA Teams Go 1-2 In Season Openers

Basketball? Yeah, basketball, folks! I'm sure many of us were watching the World Series, but many basketball fans around the state (and nation, for that matter) were tuned in to see their favorite Texas teams play Wednesday night.

The bad news is, however, that out of the three teams that squared off tonight, only the Dallas Mavericks were able to pull off a victory.

The Mavs beat the Phoenix Suns by a 111-95 final in Arizona, as the San Antonio Spurs fell in Oklahoma City by a score of 112-106 and the Houston Rockets were surprised at home by the Denver Nuggets in a 20-point loss, 105-85.

It's hard to believe that basketball is back, but here we are yet again. Another fall, another year of 'ball. Who you got this year? I'm saying the Spurs might just make yet another run with Pops at the helm.
