The season came down to one game, the winner moves on, the loser goes home. In the first ever American League "Wild Card" baseball game, the Texas Rangers run in 2012 flamed out with a 5-1 lose to the Baltimore Orioles in Arlington, Texas. In a span of five days, the Rangers were swept by the Oakland A's to lose the AL West division on the last day of the season; then Friday night the Rangers were shut down by the Baltimore Orioles to end the year.

If your a fellow Rangers fan, obviously this is not the way we wanted the season to end, but I'm sure you'll agree that past three years have been a great ride.

Baltimore advances to the ALDS against the New York Yankees.
