This huge four-game series started off on the right foot for Rangers fans Monday night, as a Prince Fielder two-run blast in the 8th lifted the Rangers over the 'Stros 5-3.

Jose Altuve got the eight-run party started with a solo shot off Cole Hamels in the top of the first, but the Rangers were quick to strike back, evening the score in the second.

After the Astros logged another run in the top of the fifth, Mitch Moreland put the barrel to the bat for a blast and yet again gave the Rangers the lead with a two-run shot.

The Astros would again respond with a hit-heavy seventh, but could only muster up a single, tying run.

Prince Fielder rocked Will Harris on a full-count pitch and put the Rangers up for good in the eighth and Texas rolled on to a 5-3 victory pulling within half a game of the Astros in the AL West.

The three remaining games could certainly be key in deciding what happens regarding postseason play, so if you've yet to get into baseball this year, right now is the perfect time to do so.
