The Red Raiders took a weekend business trip down to Waco to open conference play up  and wound up coming back with a series win after taking the stint 2-1 over the Baylor Bears.

Tech took the first game on Friday by shutting out the Bears 5-0, then followed that performance up by dropping the Saturday bout 4-3.

The rubber match on Sunday was powered by Stephen Smith for the Red Raiders, as he went 80% from the plate (4-of-5) including a yard ball, fueling a 6-5 win.

The Red Raiders now sit at 12-7 and will host New Mexico for a one day stand on Tuesday.
