Texas Tech Baseball Racks Up Series Win Against Oklahoma

It was a huge Easter weekend for the Red Raiders on the diamond, as the Oklahoma Sooners paid a visit and left with three losses.

The sweep for the Red Raiders earned the team the second victorious series over Big 12 opponents, as the team took down Baylor 2-1 in three contests last week.

In fact, Tech has earned victories in eight of its last nine contests. The surging Red Raiders certainly didn't hold back throughout the weekend, scoring 24 runs to Oklahoma's eight.

The first game, which took place Thursday, featured a shutout as Tech took the W by a 5-0 final. Friday's game looked a little similar, with the Red Raiders winning by five runs yet again, 6-1. Saturday is when the fun took place, however, as Tech was forced to respond to an early Sooner barrage. The Red Raiders scored 12 runs in the three straight innings on the way to a 13-7 victory.

Tech will visit Vegas and take on the UNLV Runnin' Rebels on Monday and Tuesday.
