The first half of the bout between the Red Raiders and Kansas Jayhawks was actually very close, as the scarlet and black battled to stay within five at the break. Kansas simply figured out the Red Raiders in the second half, and ran away with a 73-51 victory.

The good news is freshmen Norense Odiase and Zach Smith had a nice night against a very, very strong team. Both scored 13 and 10, respectively. Devaugntah Williams, of course, had another solid night scoring, recording 11.

The older leaders of the team, Toddrick Gotcher and Robert Turner struggled, scoring a combined six points on a field goal apiece.

The Red Raiders will look to dispel their troubles Valentine's Day in Austin.
