The Red Raiders showed some true progress in their youth Wednesday night, fending off a Kansas State Wildcat team that simply couldn't get it together by a score of 64-47.

One of the big reasons that K-State may have struggled is the fact they didn't have sophomore sensation Marcus Foster on the court, as he was suspended for violating some team rules. Foster is the leading scorer for the Wildcats, and the men in purple and grey certainly needed him.

On the other hand, Tech's leading scorer Devaugntah Williams went off and scored 22. Toddrick Gotcher and had a nice night, putting up 15, as Turner contributed with 13.

The Red Raiders will travel to Ames Saturday to take on Iowa State.

Any win in the Big 12 is a huge victory, so congratulations to the Texas Tech basketball team. Guns Up!
