The South Dakota State Jackrabbits came into Lubbock riding high with just one loss, after beating quality, familiar foes in Minnesota and TCU. The Red Raiders were able to put pressure on the Jackrabbits and eventually pulled away in the second half, registering a 79-67 final.

Toddrick Gotcher stepped up and played like the captain he is Wednesday night, accounting for 17 of those 79 points. Zach Smith, who's really growing into a special player, logged 13 including four off of a couple of big dunks.

The Red Raiders are now 5-0 at home and will set their sights on an Arkansas-Pine Bluff team that visits on Saturday.
