San Diego has been a good place for Texas Tech football. The Holiday Bowl, specifically, has been perfect for Texas Tech, as nine years ago the Red Raiders took down a much higher-ranked California team. Tonight, the #14 Arizona State Sun Devils just couldn't find the answers.

Plus, Texas Tech played lights out defense.

The team looked fresh and well-rested, finding rhythm on the first drive and never letting off the gas throughout the game. Davis Webb dominated most of the offensive snaps at quarterback, but Michael Brewer did see some action in the first half.

Arizona State did show some stones in the second quarter, pulling within seven, but Reginald Davis ran a kickoff return for a huge touchdown that sealed off any momentum that the Sun Devils gained.

All in all, this 37-23 win gives a huge boost in momentum going into next season, even with Jace Amaro declaring for the 2014 NFL Draft. Kingsbury may've just found the right groove to be in, and what an interesting show it'll be next year.
