In an eerie turn of events, the Red Raider baseball team won its first series against a ranked non-conference team since almost twenty years ago. That team was also San Diego State.

Improving to 14-5 on the season after this weekend, the Red Raiders first fell to the Aztecs 9-0 on Friday, then returned the favor Saturday winning 11-0. Sunday, Tech relied on a steady-handed bullpen to take care of business, and they did. Tech finished off the series doubling up the Aztecs 6-3.

This week, the Red Raiders set their sights on Oral Roberts with a two-game series on the 17th and 18th here in the Hub, then later Tech travels to Norman for a three-game bout with Oklahoma next weekend.
