Long live the matador, indeed; Texas Tech had no problems winning two games out of three this past weekend, in a key series victory over their bitter rival, the Texas Longhorns.

Things didn't start out so hot on Friday, as Texas shut the Red Raiders out 3-0, but Saturday and Sunday were much different, as the bats came very much alive for Tech.

Texas Tech played lights out on Saturday, stringing together nine runs in a 9-1 victory, then on Sunday, the Longhorns were smothered yet again to just a single run, as Tech took the bout 5-1. Tech improves to 29-20 on the season, as well as 12-9 in conference play.

The team gets a break for finals before heading out to Morgantown on May 14th.
