Texas Tech’s Eric Gutierrez Wins Top National Honor

Many folks around here, whether a fan of Texas Tech baseball or not, know the name Eric Gutierrez. The Red Raider first baseman is a force not only in the batter's box, but more importantly at his domain on first.

Gutierrez was added to the American Baseball Coaches Association's Rawlings Gold Glove team just a couple days ago for his efforts throughout the year on first.

Eric joins Kelby Tomlinson, a former shortstop for Tech from a few years back, who also received the honor on the Red Raiders' behalf. This second awarding makes Tech the only school in the Big 12 conference to have more than one Rawlings Gold Glove team member.
