It seems like everyone remembers Slipknot's epic performance at the FMX Firecracker Five (including Chris scaling the lighting towers and jumping).  Did you know they played Lubbock before that?

I was a giant nut for Coal Chamber. I still think they were one of the greats. They had a sound and style all of their own and I loved it. "Loco" and "Big Truck" (and later "Fiend) were big hits with the FMX audience. I was completely pumped to see them live. So pumped in fact that I didn't care about the opening bands. This is where I have to admit, I was there, I rocked, I got the t-shirt, but I don't remember seeing Slipknot.

Fortunately, my friend Sean with S.Y.B.O.T. and A Darker Shade Of Grey did a better job of hanging onto memorabilia than me.  Below you can see both a flyer from the show and an actual setlist.

I think this brings the total amount of time Slipknot was in town to three. This show, the Firecracker Five and that epic double bill with Slayer.  Hopefully, we can get Slipknot back at some point.
