Back on August 5th, a good friend of ours at the radio station, Dani Mendoza, was run over in the parking lot of Jake's Backroom where she worked. Tonight (Friday, Oct. 5th) is the benefit show to help her recovery.

According to the benefit's Facebook page, Dani had "emergency surgeries to repair a laceration to the bladder and a fractured pelvis" and spend more than a week at the hospital due to her injuries. But her road to recovery is far from over.

"Because of the plates she received in her pelvis to repair the fractures, she will be receiving at least three months of physical therapy help her learn to walk again," the page explains. "Since she will be out of work for an undetermined amount of time, we are hoping to raise money for her bills and living expenses."

Even if you don't know Dani, you can help a woman who has been a great friend to the Lubbock live music scene.

Dani's contribution to the local rock scene is invaluable and her dedication and hard work for the bands are immeasurable. We want to give back by contributing 100% OF THE RAISED MONEY to Dani's recovery fund.

Performances will include FeathergunWicked County RoadColors, and Indego.

Visit the Facebook event page for more details on the show.
