Yeah, I'm about to step in it again. If getting into trouble over politics isn't enough, I'm about to lay the smack down to the Dark Knight and to the Joker.

We just had the 25th anniversary of the first Batman movie.  It's also the 75th anniversary year of the character.  Now we could argue comic books all day, but I'm going to take them out of the equation because so much of reading comics is how you put everything together in your mind.

My statement goes to animated or live depictions of the Bat and the baddies.  I firmly believe that there will never be a depiction of the Batman that is as good as the one in the Arkham video games.  The Bat just seems so spot on in those games.  You might say that the video games don't have the exposition that the movies do, but I'd say you're wrong. The flashbacks Batman gets while under the Scarecrows poison tell the story about as good as it's ever been told.  Also, the Joker is incredibly perfect and amazingly voiced by Mark Hamil (Luke from the Star Wars movies).  In addition, let me say that I don't think Harley Quinn will ever have the impact on the big screen that she has in the games either.

Batman is simple to sum up.  He's a detective. He's a hand to hand combat expert. He's a rich guy who can come up with incredible gadgets to help in crime fighting.  I don't think any movie has put these three things together as well as the video games.

So what's your thoughts? Do you think any movie or cartoon was better than the games.  And since I'm somewhat of a newbie in the comic book field, what comic book do you think does the character justice?

Here's the first game edited as if it was a movie.
