Do you remember how much fun it was playing "slug bug" when you were a kid? How about if we took that game and reinvented it to help save lives?

I'm not the first to make this suggestion, but I do believe I can refine the idea a bit and make it a little catchier. But let's back up for bit.

My wife's car has a hell of a blind spot. I really have to go out of my way to make sure someone isn't creeping up on my left. All cars have a spot or two like this. Now, something smaller like a motorcycle is even harder to see.

The best way to know if a motorcycle is in your area is to track them from the minute they get anywhere near your vehicle. With this in mind, how about we take the old "slug bug" game and turn it into something for a new generation? The idea is for you and the family to start thumping your roof (or each other, depending on how you play) anytime you see a motorcycle.

The name "slug-bike" has no ring and no flair, though. My suggestion is "Like-Bike." Sure, it's a shortened version of our "We Like Bikes" campaign, but it's shorty, snappy and positive.

It's good to get the kids looking up from their tablets and phones and out the windows. They can alert you to motorcycles in the area, and you'll probably join in the game, too. So, how about we make this a thing? We could actually influence generations to not only recognize when a motorcycle is in their area, but to actively look for them.
