UPDATE: The Dillinger Escape Plan have released a more detailed statement since this story ran, stating they are "all lucky to be alive" and a lot more.

Being in The Dillinger Escape Plan is a dangerous job, constantly having to duck violently swung guitars and frontman Greg Puciato's unpredictable and daring leaps off surrounding equipment. Things took a dangerous turn off the road over the weekend when the band's tour bus was struck by a truck while on tour in Europe, traveling through Poland.

Fortunately, reports have indicated that nobody, the band, crew nor drivers, were left with any serious injuries. Dillinger's bus broke down, leading their driver to pull over to the side of the road. A truck then collided with the trailer, which contained all of the band's gear, and hit the bus as well. Currently, the extent of the injuries sustained by the band and crew are still being evaluated at John Paul Regional Hospital in Zamosc.

The group was set to wrap up their European tour on March 5, but have been forced to nix the remaining dates of the trek due to the crash. “All the gear is destroyed and there are injuries — we are unable to continue this tour right now," said guitarist Ben Weinman. "The band and crew would like to thank the fans and press around the world for their concern and the Polish police and medical staff for their handling of the situation. We hope to get back to Europe soon.”

While the news of the tour's cancellation is not ideal, fans can take solace in the fact that nobody in The Dillinger Escape Plan was badly injured, especially when looking at the damage to the bus and trailer in the Facebook post below, where they detailed the accident and their thoughts on escaping with their lives.

Loudwire wishes a speedy recovery to all those injured in the accident.

Additionally, a fan-made GoFundMe page has also been established to help the band with medical bills. To donate, click here.

Touring in support of their final album, Dissociation, and farewell tour, The Dillinger Escape Plan are next slated to play a handful of U.S. festivals starting April 30. Stay up to date on it all with the help of our 2017 Guide to Rock + Metal Festivals.
