Remember as a kid how much fun it was to spend the day with a box of crayons and a good coloring book. If life was that easy now. Unfortunately, there are a number of kids on the South Plains who don't get to enjoy this simple experience. Here's a great way for you to make a child smile.

The Dirty Gringos MC have joined forces with UMC for the Chrome and Crayons Toy Run.

Want to give a toy and a smile to a child in the hospital that could use some cheering up? Pick up a brand new unwrapped toy, strap it to your bike and meet up with the Dirty Gringos MC on Saturday, July 27, 1p.m. at the Lone Star Oyster Bar South on 101st and Slide.

The DGMC's will hand out tickets for a drawing and give out information and instructions for the ride. The Chrome and Crayons Toy Run departs the O-Bar South at 2:30 p.m. for the ride to UMC. All toys will be donated at the hospital and bikes will line up so that the kiddos can show their appreciation from the 2nd floor. You can take time to visit and take some pictures with the kids. The Chrome & Crayons Toy Run then returns back to the O- Bar South for some grownup time.

Join the DGMC on July 27 and do some good right here on the South Plains.
