The Dixie Chicks Return…To Europe

So why is this on a ROCK website? Because we're supposed to be the wild ones, the loudmouths, the politically incorrect and somehow we let politicians and morons shout down what could have been hometown heroes. In other words, once the man successfully tells country acts to "shut up and play", then they're coming for us next.

Anyhow, the Dixie Chicks are back together and getting ready for a European tour. It looks like it will be April of 2016 before the ladies do these whopping six tour dates. Who knows what might come before or after that?  I guess as rockers we barely have a dog in this fight, but as I said, if they can shut these girls up, how long before we're banning Marilyn Manson concerts?

I'm glad these girls have the balls that most of their fair weather fans did not.  Everybody has different opinions and a political fight is as close as a Facebook post these days. Since the Dixie Chicks have gone country radio has turned into a string of watered down ripped off riffs from 80's metal. I guess it doesn't matter because I wasn't going to listen to it anyway, I just hate to see something that was truly original get tossed aside because some misguided "patriots' don't have the intellectual capability to hear an opposing opinion.

So welcome back Dixie Chicks, you go fight the good fight, and prove America loves free speech, even if you have to do it in Europe.
