The 2016 NFL schedules have been released, and the Houston Texans' schedule is pretty tasty.

With two home games to start the year against the Bears and the Chiefs -- both on a Sunday with 12 p.m. start times -- the Texans are set up well for a fast start.

Most schedule predictions had the Broncos and Texans playing to open the year, but the NFL requested the Texans play at home to open the year so the NFL could have a four-hour Super Bowl commercial held in Houston.

The Texans will play the AFC North, the AFC West and the Patriots and Bengals.

Games to Watch:

I mentioned the Broncos and Texans matchup not being played in week one, but never fear, it's still happening.

The Broncos, manned at the moment by Mark Sanchez, will host the Texans in week seven on Monday Night Football. This premier match-up will be the first time Brock Osweiler makes a start in Denver as "The Guy" for the visiting squad.

Osweiler will have so many options to throw touchdowns, too.

The week prior to the Broncos the Texans play the Colts in week six on Sunday Night football. That makes back-to-back prime time games for the Texans. The Colts will be looking to regain the dominance in the division that they let slip away in 2015. The Texans will be looking to build on a 9-7 division championship from 2015.

Week 17 could very well be a look into the future of this division as well as a de facto championship game with the Texans going to Tennessee to face the Titans.

Noteworthy Notes:

The Texans play once on Thursday Night #twittergame, Saturday Night and Sunday Night. They play twice on Monday night, and the rest of their games fall on Sunday afternoon at noon.

The combined 2015 record of the teams scheduled is 124-132.
