Today, the city of Lubbock celebrated Lemonade Day 2014 all across the Hub City. Basically this day is geared at teaching kids what it means to own and operate their own small business.

This event offers kids the opportunity to experience what it takes to own and operate a business of their own.

The goal this year was to create over 800 new businesses (lemonade stands) right here in the Hub City. Judging from all the future millionaires I saw around town today, Lemonade Day might have surpassed that goal of 800.

These young business owners get to keep what they earn, with many donating their profits to local charities.
