Everyone is talking about Jared Leto's new incarnation of the Joker. I don't really have a problem with the tattoos (except for the "damaged" one on his forehead, which is kind of dumb). I don't mind that he has a grill. Heck, steel teeth have creeped me out since I saw the James Bond movie with Jaws (Richard Kiel). I don't even mind that his hair appears to be a bit more punk than slicked back.

There is just one tiny -- or I guess you could say two tiny -- changes I'd make to this makeup and I think everyone would be happy.

I debated the Joker's new countenance with a friend that is a SERIOUS comic book geek, and we were both bothered by one thing: the lack of the edges of his lips coming to a point and/or overlapping his regular lips.

Don't get me wrong, Jared Leto has an impressively large mouth, but what's the Joker without his exaggerated smile?

That's it -- two little lines added to the edges of the lips and I'm good. Heck, with Heath Ledger they did scars and smears; all I want is the painted on grin.

Let's hope the studio isn't done tinkering with this new version of the Joker. Even then, there is one incarnation of the Joker that has yet to be done, the version where he cuts his own face off then wears it as a mask. Now THAT would be awesome.
