The Joy Formidable is Dave Grohl’s Favorite New Song. Could it be Yours? [VIDEO]

I actually dig this song. It's not nearly as heavy as In This Moment or something, but when they kick it in towards the end they blow it up nicely.

Dave Grohl liked this song so much that he booked them to open for the Foo Fighters on a string of dates.

The band out of Wales is called The Joy Formidable and the new single is "Whirring." It's a little alternative sounding but it rocks like hell too! Give it a try and see what you think.

They'll also be on The Late Show With David Letterman October 6th. The group has also announced that a companion digital release, called The Big More, will arrive on October 18th which will feature a remix of the lead track "Cradle," a live version of "Whirring," a new song called "Anemone" and a cover of Roy Orbison's "It's Over."
