The Most Unique Jobs in Every State

This interactive map shows you what special job each state has more of than all the others.

For some reason, New Jersey has five times more Marriage and Family Therapists than the national average. Hawaii has more professional dancers than anyone else.

Texas and North Dakota (of course) specialize in oil production. Florida has the most professional athletes.

These are just some of the results of a Pew Charitable Trusts analysis of data released last year by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The numbers show that in many cases state reputations for certain industries are well-earned and supported by employment data.
