California punk rockers The Offspring first began working on the follow-up to 2008′s ‘Rise, Fall, Rage and Grace’ in 2009, now comes word from frontman Dexter Holland that the long-awaited album is officially done.

The Offspring have certainly taken their time recording their ninth studio album. They reportedly began laying the groundwork for the project with producer Bob Rock in May of 2009, taking numerous breaks for tours throughout the recording process. In February, Idioteq reported that the band had entered the mixing phase of the project, which according to Offspring frontman Dexter Holland, is now complete.

Although early on in the recording process, session drummer Josh Freese was said to be recording with the band for the third consecutive record, Ultimate Guitar now reports that the band’s touring drummer Pete Parada is attached to the project.

There has been no official release date set for the as-yet-untitled album from The Offspring. The band is set to head overseas for a series of shows — beginning March 31 with a trio of dates in Japan.
