Opinions don't matter, facts do. The minute you realize this your online life will change. You will have less anxiety, less drama and more fun.

There is a giant problem with the online community these days, everyone thinks their opinion matters. The fact is that most people who give you an opinion have no basis or facts and leave it at "that's just what I think". Well, I'm sorry, but if we are going to get anywhere as a society we have to drop the mental midgets from the conversation. Not only should those who speak without facts be left out, those who speak without actions should as well.

Breaking this down, simply, let's say you think that I suck. Okay, what did you base that on? I tell you what you didn't base it on, you didn't base it on my ratings, my length of employ at doing this job, the other opportunities I've been presented with, how I'm thought of in my industry. You only know that you don't like me and that I suck.  Part two of that, is that you are a mid-level car salesman. You go sell cars all day and watch t.v. part of the night.  You're not active in charity or the community or anything that lifts people up.  It doesn't make you a bad person, because you have a lot on your plate, but it certainly diminishes your right to tell anyone they suck when you only exist and not contribute to the world.  The fact is, the only person you have a right to say "sucks" is someone who has similar experiences as you.  You could tell other car salesmen they suck all day, and at least have a degree of credibility, but you're opinion on me, marine science or weather patterns in China mean nothing.

Now, none of this was about "me", I just used myself as an example because I did want to write from a position of knowledge and facts.  I also didn't write this as a spanking to the haters out there. Haters are gonna' hate and that's all there is to it.  I wrote this for one simple reason, so that you'll realize that without facts or credibility, opinions are worthless and you shouldn't let them be a drag on your life.

. The online Dictionary.com's first definition of an "opinion" is this:

"a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty".

So now that you see by it's very definition, an "opinion" is really flaky to begin with. Facts should always kill opinions. Opinions are just hot air and should be ignored as such
