It's weird out there in the world. Both the U.K. and America have flipped a big political switch and that's just the type of thing that pushes music forward.

Sorry guys, most musicians are liberal leaning. It's just one of those things that goes together with the arts like peas and carrots. The upside is, they'll be expressing their feelings in music, and my guess is most likely some form of punk rock.

So exactly what is "punk rock"? Really it's anything snotty, brash and angry. That vibe still fuels Green Day and there was a big element to it in early Guns n' Roses. Nirvana was nothing but punk rock mixed with metal. Oh, I'm sure a lot of you purists want to hear me mention names like The Dead Kennedys, Black Flag or The Sex Pistols, but the truth is that "punk" thing transcends styles and even the abilities of the player (some would say that punks are not really adept at playing and that's nonsense).

My best guess is for some type of Clash/Nirvana hybrid to come forward. I guess that's probably just wishful thinking on my part, because the truth of the matter is, it could be little people playing bagpipes while riding goats that capture the vibe and become the soundtrack to the next ten years.  All I can really tell you is, the time is right for a musical revolution.
