The Top Secret Show That Is NOT Happening This Friday

Remember when we announced all the shows at one time and we said "plus a  club show that is so secret we had to pinky-swear not to tell who it is"?  Well, we're ready to tell you who it is and why it is NOT happening.

So this was going to be a big deal. We were going to announce the show Tuesday night at Chevelle and then three days later the band was going to do an "under-play" at Jake's.  The band wanted to play Lubbock and they wanted to play someplace small. You see, they usually play 1500-3000 seat places.  Are you ready yet?  Well, the super-secret-almost-happened show was Tenacious D.

Yep, many of you are going WTF? right now but this show would have sold out in a few hours. Even better, we couldn't wait to say that we had Jack White and Jack Black in Lubbock in the same year.  So what happened?  A movie happened.  Jack got another movie and it scuttled a tour and rearranged his schedule so he could no longer do the show.

Maybe we can catch a "Pick Of Destiny" some other time. Instead, we suggest you attend the "Let's Do It For Ellie" concert and auction.
