Legacy Play Village is closing for repairs.  Parents had complained about some exposed screws and trash at the park. I have a suggestion for these parents? Why don't you get off your lazy fat ass, go grab a screwdriver and a trash bag and help fix the problem?

Legacy Play Village is actually funded by a group called "Friends Of Legacy Play Village".  Even though it's insured by the City Of Lubbock, the whole thing is basically a volunteer project.  I got a little steamed watching the news report with a woman saying if these problems aren't fixed she isn't bringing her kids back.  Well, evidently she's got the next few snot-nosed kids in line for the Iron Throne. Who cares if you don't bring your kids back, lady?

If you want cleaner parks, pick some stuff up. If you want safer parks, take a screwdriver and a wrench.  How about for once people step up and make the world a better place rather than waiting for someone else to do it?
