Every August folks are getting ready for back to school. And the State of Texas is ready with the annual Sales Tax Holiday.

This yearly event gives folks buying clothes and school supplies a break on the taxes for a weekend. This year’s tax-free season runs from Friday, August 11th until Sunday, August 13th.

Most clothing and school supplies are tax-free over the weekend and according to the Texas Comptroller’s office shoppers are expected to save around $87 million.
