Things That Go Bump In The Dark

What is it about scary movies that is so appealing to teenagers?Since it's a holiday weekend the house has been full of teenagers since Friday and I swear all they have done all weekend is eat, text, eat, fart, eat, text, eat, and watch scary movies.

I really do not get why anyone wants to sit around in a dark room or a dark theater and intentionally sit and watch something they know is gonna make them scream!

Give me a football game, a basketball game, or a baseball game and I'm happy, unfortunately I can't always take a pass on watching scary movies no matter how hard I try to get out of it.

I'm already looking for excuses to get out of going to see "The Devil Inside," hell I don't even like it when Woody makes me go through Nightmare every year.

So, tell me what are some of your must see scary movies that might help me understand the attraction to having the crap scared out of me.
