Anytime we have one of these large concerts, we get a lot of newbies. This means a new round of questions about the goings on.  I have a few answers for you.

We do not own the Amp and we do not manage the bands, all we can do is give you guidelines on stuff that we've learned before.  Here's some things to keep in mind.

*Extra money is important.  Remember you cannot leave and come back. There has been an ATM available sometimes in the past, but there isn't always one there.

*Food and drink will be available. You CANNOT bring your own. That means, NO COOLERS. As far as I know, there won't even be a hose to drink out of, so make sure you have money for bottled water!!!

*Merch, rock clothes and other vendors will be on site.

*Wear sunscreen.  It appears to be a little too early in the season for mosquitoes so you'll probably be okay there.

*Gates are at 12:30. The event will last more than 12 hours. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

*Chains (even the fashion or wallet kind) are not allowed.

*Weapons, fireworks, and anything that can be thrown at the bands are not allowed.

*Blankets are usually allowed. Umbrellas and chairs are usually not welcome (as soon as you walk away from them, somebody would get hit over the head with one, trust me).

*Parking inside the gates is $5. It also takes FOREVER to leave from inside there.

*Regular cameras are USUALLY allowed. The rule is, if it has a detachable lens, it's not allowed. The smaller hand held cameras are usually cool.

*Ain't no hiding the fact that the bathrooms get nasty out there. If you have a purse, put some hand sanitizer and baby wipes in there.  You'll thank me later.  Also keep in mind that there is a second set of bathrooms on the other side of the hill. They tend to get underused and stay in a little better condition.

*Security is actually really cool. You have to see them at their most stressful time, be cool and they'll be cool.  Just pay attention and don't try to sneak anything in. They'll find it, and it WILL make them mad.

*Tickets will be available at the box office. It's near impossible to sell out this venue.
