Looking for something  fun, inexpensive and a hoot for the entire family this Memorial Day weekend? Jump in the "family truckster" grab a couple cans of spray paint and head to the Cadillac Ranch..

Art is subjective, right? Well if you have ever been to Cadillac Ranch just west of Amarillo, Texas you may have found yourself thinking this very thing.

For those of you who have never heard of, or been to Cadillac Ranch, it is basically 10 Cadillac buried nose down in the ground.

This work of art was created by a group of hippies back in 1974 on the land of a local billionaire. Since then visitors to the "ranch" have begun spray painting the cars to leave their own mark on the art world.

This work of art attracts visitors from all over the world, most armed with a can of spray paint and a camera.

This is definitely a cool place to stop if you find yourself cruising along route 66 (I-40) west of Amarillo, if for no other reason than to say you have seen it and that you left your mark... know this though, take a picture of your contribution as soon as you are finished because within minutes of walking away it is very likely that another visitor will come along and leave their mark over yours.
