[UPDATE Nov. 27, 3:35 p.m.] The identities of the three people killed in the crash have been released. The sole survivor of the fatal accident has also been identified and arrested.


According to the Lubbock Police Department, the three people who died in the crash are:

  • Marcus Faye – 19
    • Antwone Livesay – 25
    • Rodrick Keys – 23

The driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Bobby Livesay, was transported to UMC with serious injuries. Livesay was placed under arrest at the hospital and will be booked into the Lubbock County Detention Facility after he is released. He is being charged with Intoxicated Manslaughter, Evading Arrest on Foot and Possession of Marijuana.

[ORIGINAL STORY] Lubbock Police are investigating a deadly accident that occurred around 5:30 Friday morning when a car ran into a power pole in the 2100 block of West Loop 289.

Police confirmed three people have died as a result of this crash. At this time, they do not believe the accident was ice related.

With the car striking a utility pole, a number of power outages were reported in the Hub City.

No further information has been released at this time.

Police continue to investigate.
