For the second straight season the Red Raider Football team will be in Frisco, Texas to play one of their spring scrimmages at the Dallas Cowboys practice facility aptly named The Star.

Over 10,000 fans packed the Ford Center a year ago as Texas Tech became the first collegiate football program to visit The Star in Frisco and Texas Tech will try to outdo that atmosphere in 2018.

Last seasons scrimmage was full of highlight plays, including a pick six by a defensive tackle, which is included in the video below.

The scrimmage at The Star will be on April 7th and tickets can be purchased here for $10.

The Red Raiders have two other scrimmages scheduled for the spring session.

Texas Tech will head to Midland for the sixth-consecutive year on March 24 to kick off the first of the three opportunities to see the Red Raiders this spring. That scrimmage will begin at 11 a.m. from Grande Communications Stadium.

The Red Raiders will then wait two weeks before traveling to the Dallas-Fort Worth area on April 7 for a scrimmage inside the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco.

Then to cap it all off, the official Spring Game will return to Jones AT&T Stadium on April 14. The Spring Game is slated for a 6 p.m. start.
