Today Is Play God Day

There is a trope that makes the rounds in atheist/agnostic circles that goes "Think of all the things you would do if you were God, then ask yourself why God isn't doing them".  With this in mind, let's look at "Play God Day".

I hope I didn't set this up wrong, but today is a day set aside for you to do something nice for someone or make someones day brighter.  When you think about it, you are actually, for the day, "playing God" because you are unleashing the possibility of changing that persons life for the better for that day (and maybe longer).

So there might be a better name for the day, but the idea behind it is absolutely awesome. Why not do some little thing to brighten someones day. Write a note, pick up the tab for their lunch, or give them a hug. If you have roommates why not clean up a bit or put a dinner together. Today is the day for you to use your imagination to make someone else have a better day.

I'd personally also like to include animals in this. There's all kinds of things you can do to turn a sad pup into a tail-wagger!  Do what you can to help people and animals today. Let's make this a thing.
