I guess you could say this is the top four everyone would be excited about and one that I'm very excited about.

2017 was a disappointing year for me musically, mostly because the Red Hot Chili Peppers album sucked. Just one good song on that one. Just one. Anyways, here's the five releases I'm excited about and a couple others you can switch out.

    A Perfect Circle

I love the new song "The Doomed" so much. If you put Maynard's weirdness on a scale it would go Puscifer, Tool, then A Perfect Circle as the least weird. Maynard reels in some of his wilder tendencies and isn't afraid to be softer with APC and I just love it.

    Tool

Okay, a new year that will most likely have a new APC and a new Tool album, how can that not kick ass? I'm also a recent convert to the aforementioned Pusicfer, so I think that all things Maynard will be accepted without question.

    The Offspring

I cannot say enough good things about the Offspring. I thought the last album was phenomenal and actually wore out a c.d. copy (seriously). It was a bit more mature than a lot of their releases and I'm interested to see where the Offspring go. Don't forget, they've already given us a killer track that may or may not be on the new album (Coming For You).

    Ozzy Osbourne

There is an Ozzy project listed on the upcoming releases. It's time for the Oz man to release a final masterpiece that may or may not serve as his solo recording swan song. I'm hoping for a little of the 80's Ozzy mixed with 90's Ozzy. I wasn't that big of a fan of his most recent stuff that leaned more contemporary metal.

    Monster Magnet

The new Monster Magnet album is called "Mindf@cker". I've already pre-ordered it for it's March release. I have found new loves in the stoner rock genre and Monster Magnet are the big bone daddies of that scene.  Now, I recognize they aren't for everyone, so you can sub new releases from Godsmack, Halestorm, 3 Days Grace or even Jack White here.
