Two TTU Defensive Coaches Will Not Return Next Season

News of cornerbacks coach Kevin Curtis and defensive line coach Mike Smith both being told they will not be returning to coach the Red Raiders next season has just surfaced.

The glaring issues with the team were all based on the defensive side of the football, and it seems a step in the right direction is retooling in specific areas.

Texas Tech ranks 126th in rushing yards allowed, just in front of Idaho and Eastern Michigan and 116th in passing yards allowed. Tech is also 127th in total defense ahead of only the Kansas Jayhawks.

The replacements for both Curtis and Smith have not been named at this time.
