Veteran Thunder Ride Set for June 22nd

Let's start by eliminating some excuses. You do not have to be a veteran or even a motorcycle rider to take part in this great event. Now that we have that out of the way, let's move on!

Motorcyclists and members of VFW Post 2466 at 501 East 114th will be riding to the V.A. hospital in Amarillo. The day starts with breakfast from Burger King at 7 a.m. at the VFW. Kickstands go up at 8:00 for "See Us, Save Us" and at 10 a.m. for the ride to Amarillo. The requested donation is $15 per bike and $5 for passengers. Riders are encourage to wear red, white and blue. There's also a stop at the Amarillo VFW with an $8 a plate lunch. After lunch the group will visit with disabled war veterans at the hospital.

All in all this sounds like a great day. Bikes, cars, food, and honoring our vets!
