What started as an extremely windy day in Lubbock ended with a blazing hot set from Danish rockers Volbeat.

Hitting the Lonestar Amphitheater stage in Lubbock, Texas Tuesday night for FMX's 11th X-Fest, the boys from Copenhagan delivered a blistering 90-minute set full of the killer tunes that have made them radio darlings in the past few years, including Still Counting and Lola Montez.

Before the show, singer Michael Poulsen told FMX's Wes Nessman that the band was purposefully not playing many new songs from their upcoming album "Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie" (which hits stores June 3, 2016) on tour to make sure audiences weren't spoiled via YouTube videos. In other words: the next time Volbeat returns to Lubbock, we'll hopefully get to experience more of their new stuff live.
