Here's the setup (and no one is disputing it). A dentist paid $55,000.00 to kill a lion. They baited the lion off a nature reserve by tying some other dead animal to their bumper and dragged it around in the dead of night. When the lion, named Cecil (a local favorite) came off the reserve he shot it with a bow and arrow, then tracked the wounded animal for 40 hours before finishing it off with a gun. He then tried to hide the collar, took the head and left the carcass laying there.

There's no denying that this dentist broke the law and killed this lion in a cowardly way. He basically said "here kitty-kitty, I have some food for you" then shot it.  My point is simple. It's time for this b.s. to stop. This is not an animal that has overpopulated it's home. It's not an animal that was used for food. It was not threatening anyone.  This is killing just out of plain meaness or some sense of wicked pleasure.  This kind of hunting should have went away a long, long time ago. ****Careful, there is some strong language ahead****

Here is video of the actual lion that was killed.
