Where You Can Eat Out in Lubbock on Thanksgiving

Not in the mood to cook? Well, why not go out? A lot more people than you think look at Thanksgiving as a great opportunity to get out of the house and not cook.

I have to put a disclaimer here. I am giving you the policy of the national chains. There is still a possibility that the restaurants listed below may close or have abbreviated hours in Lubbock on Thanksgiving Day. As a rule, even individual franchisees tend to go with the flow.

Generally open on Thanksgiving:

Applebee's

Cracker Barrel

Denny's

Furr's Cafeteria

Golden Corral

IHOP

Panda Express

Texas Land and Cattle

This is just a small sampling of national chains. Many Asian restaurants tend to stay open, and mom and pop restaurants tend to close. It's still suggested that you call ahead if you are planning on going out, as many of these restaurants don't update their websites with Thanksgiving info.

Also, since Thanksgiving has become a big shopping day, many fast food restaurants tend to stay open. For you coffee nuts, as a rule, most Starbucks locations are open on Thanksgiving.
