First off, I'm proud of President-Elect Trump for keeping Carrier jobs in the U.S.  He stepped up, stepped in and got something done. I'm proud because those jobs will stay in the U.S., as far as Carrier goes though, they need a kick in the nuts.

Trump stepped in when he had to. That's good. The fact that he had to is bad. Why does Carrier deserve breaks that other companies don't get? I'm sure some of you are business owners and aren't getting any help or tax breaks from the government.  Why does business "A" get subsidized why business "B" gets ignored? Were it not for the Americans who would have lost their jobs, I would have told Carrier, "if you take your plant across the border, we're going to make it real hard for you to sell the products back".

We don't know if the CEO, or shareholders or owners are not just mismanaging this company. We don't know how long they'll hang on. We only know that they whined and knew the right people.

Just for the record, I searched "American Made HVAC" and there are other companies here, but the term "American Made" usually just means assembled here, evidently everyone uses parts outsourced from all over the place.  Carrier seems to be no more important or vital than anyone else.

I am a business owner. I pay all my taxes faithfully, and it hurts. I bring tourists to town that eat at restaurants and shop, come out for a scare, then spend the night in local hotels. Where's my tax break? My point is simple, it's should be a level playing field out there, and if a business doesn't want to play on that field, they should be penalized (and Trump is good with that)  and not rewarded.
