You have been suckered. Completely and totally suckered. While you were worried about illegal immigrants coming over taking jobs that you would never do on farms or in detail shops, the U.S. has to intentionally reach out to get people for the best jobs.

Here's the problem. As a rule, your kids just aren't smart enough to compete with the best and brightest from other countries.

The U.S. has special programs to bring the smartest to the U.S. to fill jobs that we can't do here. Heck, even one of our local hospitals has outreach programs to Canada and South America to bring nurses here because we can't get enough people smart enough to complete a nursing program.

You're mad at the wrong people. Don't be mad at the guys who come here who make $20 a day. For that matter, don't be mad at the ones who make over $100,000 a year. The problem isn't immigrants. The problem is you've allowed the school system to fall into disrepair. You've allowed politicians to dumb down the curriculum. You've even spent too much time worried about whether they can pray in school when they should be learning stuff.

Now, some of you will even get mad a me for calling you out on this. Whatever -- sometimes the truth hurts. Most products of the American -- and more specifically Texas -- school systems will be lucky to rise to the level of mid-level manager on their best day.

This is your fault for denying science, for editing textbooks, for pushing agendas and tests instead of actual accelerated and higher learning.

Some parents will get mad when they read this. Those are the ones in denial. For the rest of you, I hope you consider this a wakeup call and get your kids a little extra education so they can compete with the rest of the world.
