The 2017-18 Texas Tech Red Raiders gave us all one helluva ride this year.

One of the best Texas Tech basketball seasons in school history came to an end today with a 71-59 loss to Villanova in the Elite Eight.

But, what a ride it was.

This scrappy bunch of Red Raiders did something no other Texas Tech men's basketball team had ever done in 93 years.

From being picked to finish 7th in the Big 12 to working their way to the Elite Eight with grit and determination was simply amazing for all of us to witness.

Tonight, you can show your appreciation for the team when they return to Lubbock, Texas.

According to the Texas Tech Athletic Department: The Red Raiders are scheduled to touch down here in the Hub City around 1:30 a.m. out at the LBB Airport. The team will then head to the United Supermarkets Arena.

I know it's late for some folks, but after what this team did for Texas Tech University, the city of Lubbock, and all the Red Raider fans around the globe; losing a few hours of shuteye to show them how much this incredible run meant to us is a small price to pay.
