There's another Facebook post going around that "gotcha". It's a somewhat illiterate note written by a guy who claims his "lil brother in Afghanistan" is being cut down to two meals a day" and "even prisoners get three meals a day" or something like that.

Once again, if it sounds "outrageous" or like something you've never heard before, chances are it's b.s.  This one time though, there is a tiny, tiny grain of truth to the story.  First off, let me repeat, no solider was cut down to "two meals a day".  As the U.S. was preparing to transition out of Afghanistan, they cut out hot breakfasts and replaced them with MRE's.  It makes sense, they needed to move out, so they cut down on the work as they transitioned out. I would think this kind of move would be a regular part of a soldiers life.  It had nothing to do with government budget cuts, lack of support for the military or the price of tea in China, it was just part of a stand down.
